Tanva By Deepika: Embark on This Designer Journey

Deepika Gangisetty is the most talented owner and designer of Tanva, a brand that specializes in contemporary Indian clothing with intricate surface designs and silhouettes. Deepika graduated from the National Institute of Fashion Technology in Hyderabad and went on to work as a designer for various production houses in Tollywood, India’s film industry. It was while working on films such as Syera Narasimha Reddy and Acharya that Deepika became inspired to start her label.

Tanva means “handmade” in Sanskrit, and the name was chosen to reflect Deepika’s connection to her roots, the art and the culture of India. The label was founded in May 2021, with just one employee. Today, Tanva has grown to include a team of skilled workers who handcraft each piece with precision and care.

The brand is known for its use of traditional outfits and techniques from across India, which are combined with modern sensibilities to create unique clothing that is at once timeless and stylish. Whether it’s a sari adorned with intricate embroidery or a lehenga decorated with delicate mirror work, each garment from Tanva is a work of art.

Oasis is inspired by the desert flowers and the blooming oasis surrounding it. The ballad of delicate Jharokas and dainty floral motives on desert monuments or narrated in Oasis is what inspired us for our new collection. We experimented

with a lot of surface techniques for this collection, such as interlocking, basket weave technique, applique, and fabric layering.

Our new Print collection is coming up soon, and we’re very excited about it. The autumn/winter resort collection is an amalgamation of holiday aesthetics and current trends. It’s completely different from what we’ve done in the past, with breezy and fun-going silhouettes. For this collection, we also experimented with different surface techniques such as patchwork embroidery and surfaces.
